Ace or ones The one suit should always be referred to as Aces with the 1-1 being called the Double Ace and never the Big Ace.

Automatic Domino -The hand that when played correctly, it is impossible for your opponent to keep you from dominoing.

Back - The side of the domino that contains no spots.

Behind the House - When only one side of a double on the board has been played on, when a player plays on the other side, that player got "behind the house."

Best of Three - In tournament play, it is common to play the best of three to advance to the next round.

Blind Man's Hand -Same as a roadmap hand.

Blocked (game blocked) -When no one can play although all players are still holding a domino or dominoes.

Board Count -The total pip count of the open ends of the dominoes.

Bogus Pass (Passed Bogus) - When a player passes with a playable domino in their hand.

Bogus Play -When a player places a domino on a mismatched end like playing a four on any other number other than the four.

Boneyard -After each player has drawn their hand to start the game of a hand, the dominoes that remain are called the boneyard.

Complementary Domino - A complementary domino is only referenced as it relates to a double. Example, 6-6/The Treys, 5-5/The Blanks, 4-4/The deuces, 3-3/The Fours, 2-2/The sixes, 1-1/the treys, 0-0/the fives.

Conditional Repeater - A domino that can only count off the spinner - spinner 5 and spinner blank.

Count Same as a Score, a multiple of 5 with 35 being the highest count with the double six set of dominoes.

Cut- When a player plays on a suit. He cut my 6 or he cut the deuce.

Cut The Shake/Shuffle - When the player that is required to shake or shuffle the dominoes is finished, any player at the table may shuffle some more.

Deuce or twos -The two suit should always be referred to as deuces with the 2-2 being called the Double Deuce and not the Big two.

Dime to Get On -Some domino games, you are required to have a minimum of 10 points to start our scoring. No five count is legal in this type of Muggins domino game.

Dominant Suit -3 or more of a kind. You could have two dominant suits.

Domino Progressions - Going through your options in some order like analyzing your hand.

Domino, Dominoed, Dominoing (verb) The player that is or was the first player to play their last domino.

Domino-Down (The Down) - The player that plays first in the hand by having the highest double or because that person.

Draw -When you have no play and there are bones in the boneyard, the rule is you must draw to find a playable domino.

Exposed Domino - When the opponent can identify a domino held by their opponent. Sometimes it's because of an accident.

Forced Down -When the highest double is the required down, it must be played by the player holding it.

Go Out -To domino or play all your tiles first.
--
Hand (My Hand) -The domino or group of dominoes that player currently has in his/her hand.
--
Honorary Void -When you have only the double of a suit, it is almost like not having a domino in that suit.

Hot seat - when players are watching a game waiting for their turn, the losing player(s) have to get up and wait until it's their turn again. That makes the seat hot.

Inviting - An inducement to take a count in order to get a desired suit on the table.
--
Knock -A knock on the table is the same thing as a "pass."
--
Love Bone (Bigside snake bone) -The Five off the spinner.

Love Bone (Littleside snake bone) - The Blank off the spinner.
--
Love Bone - Big The Double 5 is the Big Love bone when you have it in your hand.
--
Love Bone - Small The Five Blank is the small love bone when you have it in your hand.
--
Misplay -When a domino is played on the wrong denomination, like a five on a four or any mis matching dominoes.

Open End -The end where a domino can be placed.
--
Overdown -When a player is drawing from the boneyard and that player continue drawing even after they have drawn a playable domino.

Overdraw - When a player draws more than the agreed upon amount of dominoes to play the game. I drew 9 but we are playing with 7.

Pass -A player must announce, "I Pass," when they have no playable and there are no dominoes in the boneyard.

Pips -The spots on the dominoes.
--
Point Game - A game that you score points in like Muggins.
Points or spots -The number of pips on a domino.
--
Pose -The person that plays first.
--
Renege - Passed with a play in your hand.
--
Repeater- The domino that can score immediately after the previous player has scored. There is a special section showing all the repeaters.

Required to Shuffle -The person immediately to the right of the player who's turn is first or the player with the down.
--
Road Map -Type of hand where all you have to do is follow suit. No thinking is required.

Rocks -Another name for dominoes.
--
Rotate the Down -To begin a game, players draw and the person with the highest domino gets to go first. In subsequent hands, the down rotates to player to the left.

Run That Suit - when a person plays the same domino more than once.
--
Score (The Score) Any multiple of 5 up to a maximum of 35 with the double six set of dominoes.

Set (The Set) -The person that plays first in a game or round
--
Shake - Same as shuffle, and normally done by the person who sits to the right of the player with the down.

Shuffle -Thoroughly mixing of the dominoes after all all the dominoes are turned face down (to make them indistinguishable) on the playing surface.

Snake Bone -(Bigside snake bone) The five off the spinner

Snake Bone (Big) -The Double 5 is the Big Snake bone when you Do Not have it in your hand.

Snake bone (Small) -The Blank 5 is the Small Snake bone when you Do Not have it in your hand.

Spinner- The first double that is played and only the first double.

Strong Suit -Three or more of a kind.

Sucker Play A player where you try to induce your opponent to make that is to their disadvantage.

Sweaters -Participants awaiting their turn by watching the action.

Trey or threes The three suit should always be referred to as Treys with the 3-3 being called the Double Trey and never the Big Trey.

Underdraw- When a player draws fewer than the agreed upon amount of dominoes to play the game. I drew seven. We did not discuss playing with nine.

Void- Whenever you are missing a suit. I am voided in fours means that I have no fours in my hand.

Weak Strong Suit -When you have a hand with 4 of a kind and 3 of a kind. The 3 of a kind is your weak strong suit.
